I think it is summer? Is it?

I may be a Labradoodle, and a smart one at that, but I am confused ... is it summer or not? Memorial Day weekend was a blast here at the marina but it has been raining ever since! Good thing I don't mind getting wet, though I don't think everyone else enjoys it as much and I really don't think they are appreciating the "wet dog" cologne I've been sporting lately.

Even though the weather has been rather dull, things here at the Green Lake Marina haven't been - the guys have been working extra hard on a secret project. I know I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but you promise to keep a secret, right?? They have built a brand spanking new Tiki Bar!!! Cool, huh? I don't really know what a Tiki Bar is but they seem excited so I wag my tail when I see it so they think I'm excited too. I would have preferred they built a giant fire hydrant ... oh well, maybe that can be their next project.

Well, it's just about noon so I better track the crew down so I can see what everyone brought for lunch today... trust me, it's almost as good as going to a buffet ... so many choices!

Ready for Summer

Summer is almost here - can you feel it? I sure can! I love the feel of the sun warming my fur as I snooze on the docks. Oh, and of course all the activity here at the marina is a sure sign that summer is on its way as well.

I've been trying to be a team player and help out as much as I can. I know everyone is thrilled with my help because all I hear is "oh, Woody" this and "oh, Woody" that... I think they are especially appreciative of my help in staining the docks, and the deck, and the sidewalk, and the carpet! Yup, there is a lot of work to be done, but with me on the crew you can rest assured we'll be ready for you all to visit in time for the summer season!

Someone is calling my name - uh oh, they are waving a chewed up boat cushion at me - GOTTA RUN!

Weekend Fun

Do any of you have any big plans this weekend? I hear the bosses talking about some flea market opening this weekend. I don't know about you but I am not in the market for some fleas ... If you don't have any plans, stop by and see us at the Waterfront Grill this weekend, super yummy prime rib on Saturday night (my favorite!!).

Uh-oh, they just discovered that I was trying to bury my bone in the house plants! That is not a happy look ... gotta run! Have a great weekend!

Ahoy Mates!!

I'm Capt. Woody, the newest (and if you ask me - cutest) crew member at the Green Lake Marina Resort. I am going to be sharing with you all my tail-wagging, fur-raising adventures and provide you the exclusive "behind-the-scenes" scoop of the Green Lake Marina Resort. You see, being a labradoodle has its advantages ... not only can I pier-launch with the best of them, but my crew-mates and bosses think I am a good listener so they tend to share with me their secrets - secrets that I am going to share with you!!

For example yesterday, after chewing up the bosses flip flops, I decided to take a snooze on the dock. Since I looked so sweet and innocent asleep the boss decided not to be mad about her flip-flops anymore and began thinking (out loud) about ways to kick-off the upcoming summer season... Well, that made my ears perk right up - so I laid very still, pretending to sleep just so I could get the details for all you. I can't tell you everything since I do feel just a tad guilty about the chewing incident, but I can tell you to keep checking the Green Lake Marina Facebook page because in the next day or two there'll be a chance for you to win some very cool stuff!!!

Well, that's it for now ... this blogging stuff kind of wears a pup out. I think it is time for a dog biscuit and my afternoon seista.
